A biomimetic, barrier-supportive mineral sunscreen formulated with non-nano zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to provide broad-spectrum UV protection. This therapeutic shield helps reduce trans epidermal water loss while calming inflammation and reinforcing the skin barrier. Enriched with sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, arnica, aloe hydrosols, and lipid-replenishing botanical oils, it delivers hydration, comfort, and resilience—making it ideal for sensitive, compromised, and post-procedure skin.

A mineral sunscreen with high levels of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide can pill for several reasons.

Applying over incompatible skincare

This is one of the biggest causes. Mineral sunscreens often pill when layered over:

• Silicone-heavy primers
• Hyaluronic acid gels that remain tacky
• Carbomer gels
• Products containing high levels of glycerin
• Thick peptide serums

Each product forms its own film, and the sunscreen may not bond well to it.

Not allowing previous products to dry

If moisturizer or serum is still wet, the sunscreen can emulsify with it instead of forming its own film.

Waiting even 5–10 minutes before sunscreen application can dramatically reduce pilling.

Using too much friction

Mineral sunscreens generally perform better when:

• dotted onto the face
• spread gently
• pressed into the skin

instead of vigorous rubbing.

Dry or dehydrated skin

When sunscreen catches on dry flakes or rough corneocytes, those flakes roll together with the sunscreen and appear as pills.

Sodium Hyaluronate

Raspberry seed oil is often marketed as SPF, but scientifically it’s not a reliable sunscreen—
however, it does provide antioxidant defense, which complements UV protection.  This is really important to pair with zinc and titanium.
