Oily skin is where the body produces excess sebum (natural body oils). Oily skin characteristics include rough and course skin, large pores, shiny or greasy-looking skin. Excessively oily skin can clog pores leading to breakouts, as well.
Combination Skin
Combination skin is very common, with oily areas in the T-zones, the areas around the forehead, nose, chin, and the mouth. Combination skin can have dry skin areas in the cheeks and under the eyes, as well as fine lines, wrinkles and shiny areas.

A healthy skincare routine includes moisturizing without clogging pores or adding oiliness to the skin. Avoid treating your skin with harsh astringents like alcohol and regular bar soaps.

Healthier Skin for Oily Complexions
A healthy skincare routine includes washing twice daily, using a gentle cleanser that will dissolve the excess oils and deep clean the pores. The key is to remove dirt, excess oil and impurities without using harsh chemicals. The important thing to note is that you don’t want to completely strip your natural oils.
A healthy routine includes:
- Use a Mask twice a week alternating with any of the Serums like Vitamin C Complex or Renewal at night for best results.
- Use a one of our moisturizers like Daily Facial Moisturizer or Intense Hydration.
- Watch diet (some foods contribute to creating excess sebum).
- Try to avoid the overuse of any products, especially those with acids, benzoyl peroxide and or ammonia.
