Our Clarifying Serum uses vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) to effectively treat and help prevent acne flare-ups, no matter your age or skin type. Use with Clarifying Complex and Clarifying Bar to help keep skin healthy and clear.

The star ingredient in our powerful Clarifying Serum is Retinyl Palmitate, a Vitamin A derivative that speeds up cell turnover. This has a number of benefits for both acne-prone and aging complexions. Not only does it help to clear dead skin cells from your pores, it also improves skin texture and helps to fade hyperpigmentation and marks left over from previous breakouts. Plus, Retinyl Palmitate boosts collagen production, helping to help keep those fine lines and wrinkles at bay.

Our Clarifying Serum also contains potent Tamanu Oil, a natural anti-inflammatory that promotes the formation of new tissue and helps fight acne-causing bacteria. Natural Copaiba Oil has been specially added for its ability to reduce pain and inflammation in active breakouts while helping to fight infection and heal the skin.

Who Can Use It: Because retinyl palmitate is the least irritating of all four retinoids, it’s a great option for almost all skin types and anyone who wants to keep their pores clear and skin looking younger. Sensitive skin may want to start with Soothe first and or use Advanced Dermal Complex.

How Often to Use: While it’s important to ease into things to let your skin gradually acclimate to any ingredient, it is best used every other day.

Retinoids have a synergistic effect with antioxidants such as vitamins C and E.  Pairing any retinoid with sunscreen is also important since it may make your skin more susceptible to the sun.  We recommend using them at night and using a zinc and titanium product like Protect during the day. 

DON’T USE WITH: Since retinyl palmitate has exfoliating properties, avoid combining it with other chemical exfoliants, such as glycolic or salicylic acid, as well as harsh scrubs with abrasive ingredients. This holds especially true if you fall into the sensitive skin group.

Pregnant and Nursing: Women who are in this category should consult their doctor before using any Retinol product.

Limit this product and all Vitamin A’s from any company to 3 times a week.
